Long before computers made it easy to be a copyright criminal,
The ECC was violating copyright laws the hard way.

Welcome to The Evolution Control Committee.

On this week's Sound Of Plaid internet radio we are proud to present our very special guest Moldover!

If music is your life, brace yourself because Moldover is about to destroy your world. In a desert of detached laptop DJs, a singular thunderclap echos across the landscape cuing a torrential onslaught of instrumental innovation and a seismic tsunami of live musicianship. Worshiped by 700,000 YouTube viewers as "The Godfather of Controllerism", and revered by musicians, producers, artists, engineers, hackers and music fans world-wide, Moldover is "literally throwing away the rule book and reinventing the wheel" (Remix Magazine). But this is no natural phenomenon. Every aspect of Moldover's perfect storm has been meticulously constructed from scratch.

I mean, just LOOK at that device he's holding... that's his Mojo, and he'll serenade you with it on our program.  Tune in!

RoboProfessor's new video uses The Evolution Control Committee's "Copyright Criminals" for the intro/outro theme music:

Any similarities between RoboProfessor and Kembrew McLeod (director of Copyright Criminals and trademarker of "Freedom Of Expression") is purely intentional.

On this week's Sound Of Plaid internet radio we bring you a lovely present, just in time for Christmas: mashup mavericks A+D!  In addition to mixing together some of the most listened to mashups out there, DJs Adrian and the Mysterious D are also the force behind the blockbuster Bootie mashup club nights in major cities around the world.  They've also just released their new Bootie holiday mix CD A Very Bootie Christmas 2 and are gearing up for a massive New Year's Eve event here in San Francisco.

We'll chat with A+D about all of the above, and bop around the studio as they spin a few choice cuts (cuts-n-pastes?) of their choosing.  Tune in!

Mental Monkey invited The Evolution Control Committee to participate in their MP3-a-week blog Secret Mixtape, and what with our new material coming together for our upcoming All Rights Reserved album we thought it would be a great opportunity to show people what's brewing.

Until December 20th 2009, you can download The ECC's new track The Shakes at Secret Mixtape.  Free, of course!  If you want more, sift through their archive of previous MP3s.  Enjoy!
