Whipped Cream Mixes 7The ECC's first 7" single and first release on Eerie Materials, The Whipped Cream Mixes 7" single included two mixes syncing up the vocals of Chuck D (of the rap group Public Enemy) with music from the ubiquitous 1966 album Whipped Cream and Other Delights by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. These mixes originally appeared on The ECC's Gunderphonics (1994). This formula of synchronizing a pop vocal track to a different pop music track is now known as a Mash-Up, and the Whipped Cream Mixes is frequently cited as the origin of this genre.

The single was a very successful release for Eerie Materials, with five additional pressings made of the record. Eerie invited The ECC to do another follow-up single, which was to be the 7" single Rocked By Rape.
