General ECC News

This Saturday brings the realization of Gary Xaoui's long-planned robot opera Foibles Mench It's a major production and the crew is hard at work preparing NIMBY for the show, while Justin Gray builds some incredible robots, the show's main characters.  The ECC is busy too, gathering sounds and gear that will become the soundtrack for this production.  Joining The ECC is opera singer Kerry Walsh, the talented Big City Orchestra, and drummers/percussionists from the Cataclysmic Megashear Ranch

Foibles Mench (man’s folly) is a robot opera which tells the story of man’s evolution and destruction brought about by technology and exploitation of the environment. Humanity emerges from nature to build their own environment, creating tools and technology to help their progress.  Robots that start out as helpful tools later turn on their human creators and destroy humanity's creations, and eventually destroy themselves. Is this the end of humanity?
