General ECC News

The Evolution Control Committee' mini-tour of Europe was splendid! The STRP Festival in Eindhoven, Netherlands booked ECC to perform both our Thimbletron and Wheel Of Mashup shows at the festival, and we also added performances in Amsterdam and London. Thanks to STRP, OCCII, Sjoerd, Marcelle, Betsey Trotwood, and Nigel. There are also four videos from the festival on TradeMark's personal YouTube channel:

ECC ON DFM:  DJ Marcelle Interviews The ECC

As long-time fans of DJ Marcelle's Another Nice Mess program on DFM Radio International, it was quite the treat to get interviewed on her program while we were in Amsterdam... not to mention getting the chance to browse a collossal record collection that puts The ECC's in its place.  The interview aired yesterday.  Missed it?  No you didn't -- for the next week you can listen to the archive on Marcelle's website.

ECC AT EMP:  TradeMark represents at the EMP|SFM Pop Conference in Seattle

This Friday (2009.04.17) morning at 11am The ECC's TradeMark G. will take part in the panel discussion Embodying Electronic Dance Music Cultures.  If all goes well the Vidimasher 3000 will be used in a mashup of lecture and, well, more mashups.  It's part of their Pop Conference; the topic: Dance Music Sex Romance: Pop and the Body Politic.  The conference is free to the public but you'll want to pre-register to make sure you've got a spot.  (Thanks Bernardo!)

ECC IN LA:  Yep, we're back -- at Alex's Bar, Sunday 2009.04.26

Man, that was a good time at March's Bootie night in LA -- check out our video of the night.  Such a good time; how could we not come back?  Good news, it's on:  Sunday night we'll hit Long Beach's Alex's Bar for their Cafe Racer Ride-In.  It's an early show -- door at 5, first band at 6 -- just right for a Sunday night.  (thanks Ed!)
