Hello, Austin Texas: Although we've never managed to make a show happen there, it seems Austin already has a taste for our brand of evolved mashups -- or soon will. That's thanks to KAOS Radio Austin over-active DJ Slander Bob, who selected The Evolution Control Committee to feature on his 12/13/09 Artist Showcase -- 2 hours amidst an astonishing 14 hour shift (!) he fills starting early Sunday mornings. The feature airs 3AM-5AM CST early Sunday, December 13, 2009 -- just a few hours from now -- so we're hoping those who miss it will be able to listen or download it from the show's archives after it airs.
He certainly did his homework -- we offered him brand new unreleased tracks from our upcoming album, and he'd already gotten them! Now that's our kind of radio show host...
Trademark Gunderson aka Trademark G. The inventor of The Mash-up, The Thimbleton, and The Wheel of Mashup.
You'll hear some of The Evolution Control Committee's classic tracks and well as some rarities. Snippets from some of Trademark's radio projects, spinning some of his favorite tunes as well explaining the methods of his musical madness and songs from his alter-persona DJ Pantshead. Mixed by and edited by Slander Bob.
Check out his weekly radio show " The Sound Of Plaid" every Tuesday over @ http://fccfreeradio.com 8PM-10PM PST
Our second music guest episode in a row -- this week it's experimental techno super duo The Fallen! We've been wanting to get Kevin (FBK) and James (Plural) on our show for a while, and at their great 2014 Fuse Factory performance we cornered them to nail down a date. Their dark, sparse, atmospheric beats are driven by live energy and gear lust but hide their humor and BFFness which comes out in our interview. Don't miss it!
Interesting show this weekend with a low-key off-beat ECC set plus great locals like Kevin Kennedy, Mike Textbeak, Jeff Chenault, and many others at BLUR at 400 W Rich St Saturday, a full show of Columbus electronic music! Great lineup put together by a great guy: James Davis of the Local Autonomy blog/site (who also just guested on my radio show!) ECC plays early, 5:30-6:30.

Following our Sydney, Australia appearance at the Liquid Architecture festival we met up Brent Clough, host of the Australian Broadcasting Company radio show Night Air for lengthy and enjoyable interview and on-air performance. The distilled version is now about to hit the airwaves, part 1 of a show pairing The ECC with part 2, Bob Dylan... an unexpected pairing, but we take it as a quite the compliment.
Copyright-fighters the Evolution Control Committee mash up pop music and free-wheelin' Bob Dylan wanders through his many incarnations ...
Part 1: The Evolution Control Committee under the leadership of Trademark G. (aka Mark Gunderson) has been challenging copyright laws since 1986, risking millions in copyright violation fines for what the ECC calls 'music'. The ECC is credited with the creation of the Mash Up or Bastard Pop genre of blended pop songs, a style popular with young listeners today. In this session TradeMark G talks about the ECC's work and demonstrates one of its recent products, the VidiMasher 3000.

Although non-Australians like us can listen online, we're at a disadvantage on its air time: 8:30pm Sunday evening, which would be 2:30am early Sunday morning for us in California. Fortunately you'll be able to listen to the show on their webpage which also includes transcripts of the show, or just listen now below.
