| Ahhh, Biosphere 2 -- the lofty little eco-utopia that could...n't. Biosphere 2 was an experiment to create a manmade sealed ecosystem from scratch. The enormous structure was made to house a small crew of humans completely sealed off from the rest of the world, with potential lessons to be learned for off-world colonization. Unfortunately, it died of very earthly petty problems: management disputes, culminating in a 3am catastrophic breach as the crew escaped. |
