Great compilation from Eenie Meenie Records in Hollywood. You have to see this packaging to believe it: the comp itself has artwork dense and busy enough to confuse the average onlooker, but is also shrinkwrapped with an accompanying cookbook with recipes from each of the bands, along with a custom drink coaster! The all-vegetarian songs (and recipes) span the gamut of style; nicely varied compilation. Best of all, it's available on your choice of CD or vinyl! Order one now from:

Greatest Hits (version
gamma) Once upon a time, there was a wonderful world called Napster. In Napsterworld, everybody shared everything they had. However, in their enthusiasm to share everything, they often shared things they didn't mean to share. Thus, the Napster Nugget was born. So beloved were these Napster Nuggets that over 10 hours of these home recordings were collected during Napster's heyday. The best of these are compiled here. This pre-release CD-R has gone through many permutations, and version gamma offers a number of new "Forced Songs", where karaoke singers have been combined with other people practicing their music (different songs from each other, though). In this era where it is commonplace for corporate Goliaths to bully artistic Davids out of home and wallet, it is surprising when a small Austrian-based art group -- say, for example, etoy -- can hold their own when faced with a multi-million dollar upstart dot-com corporation. Nonetheless they held their ground when etoys.com (note the "s") sued them for their domain name... which etoy registered two years before etoys even existed. In the heat of the battle, etoy called etoy.SOLDIERS to battle, and The ECC's DJ Pantshead reported for duty with another helper, collaborating as PooPoo Varmint. The result, along with tracks from Negativland, People Like Us (et al), Escape Mechanism and others, makes up this compilation CD. Beautifully packaged in a tri-foldout sleeve. Realistic:
Smells Like Teen Disco A 12" vinyl EP on clear vinyl (oooh!) presenting six different mixes of a tiny track from the original CD (which we also sell). The remixes vary wildly... just listen to the two examples below for proof. A review from come.to/robots: "Best is from arch samplers The Evolution Control Committee who unite a filtered disco break, a bass line played variously on a taut chain and a cheesewire and 80s house sounds." A
Refreshing Sound Recording of "DJ" Pantshead The Evolution Control Committee's DJ Pantshead occasionally leaves The Committee's headquarters to seek out phattened beats. Having spent many a night gettin' down with the mental sound, you can find some of his vinyl hijinx on this mix CD. 60 CD-R minutes worth of quirky DJing, mixing the likes of Alec Empire, LeCar, We, Quincy Jones, Janet Jackson, and The Swingle Singers. Noise Kills Punk Dead Overload! Overload! 59 bands! 67 tracks! Each band gets about a minute, and The Evolution Control Committee and Gaga contributed theirs. The ECC's "Stairway to Royalty Payments" will sound quite familiar to fans of the Gunderphonic release. Put together by Brent [formerly] of Thorazine, this turns out to be of the best compilations for short attention span fans. Not nearly as noisy as we expected, which to us is a good thing. >>> OUT OF PRINT <<<
Histatic Charge, "Zero to Sixty"
Adventures in Modern Recording The second compilation CD to examine Columbus' (somewhat incestuous) electronic music scene. Features a track from The Evolution Control Committee (also on the Double The Phat CD), The Weird Love Makers, and then a couple of other bands with Jeff Central (from T.W.L.M.). Compiled by James Towning of Realistic (who have a new CD on Seeland, Negativland's label) and Fact 22. Good comp! Order one now from: The ECC -

The compilation that turned a few heads, both at the Geffen label and elsewhere... why Geffen? Because that's the label Beck is on, and Beck supplied 100% of the source material used for this compilation. But nobody asked Beck whether or not this was okay. As luck would have it, Beck is rumored to have liked the idea and asked Geffen to stop threatening and pressuring Illegal Arts and (R)tmark, makers of the compilation, to stop it. Truth or mere rumor, the CD is still available to you! Order one now from: The ECC - One
