Double The Phat and Still Tasteless (CD, ECC)

The ECC's first CD release, Double The Phat and Still Tasteless (1994) was a noteworthy release not only on the strength of its materials, but perhaps moreso for its unique packaging. The entire run of 1,000 CDs were packaged in 5ΒΌ" computer floppy disks. Each disk was slit open and its disk replaced by the audio CD. Custom-printed disk sleeves housed the floppy-CD as well as a small booklet of liner notes. Additionally, a limited edition of 64 CDs were packaged in entire floppy disk drives, with the floppy-packaged audio CD inserted in the drive. Each drive was numbered, and since the 64 were numbered in binary (6410 = 10000002) this is technically The ECC's first million-selling album.
