Long before computers made it easy to be a copyright criminal,
The ECC was violating copyright laws the hard way.

This week's radio guest on The Sound Of Plaid is longtime music pal OTIS FODDER!  In addition to his band The Bran Flakes (which toured with The Evolution Control Committee in 2010) Otis is the musical powerhouse behind such projects as The 365 Days Project, Comfort Stand Recordings, Copyright Violation Squad, and much more.  We'll hear music from all of that plus music that Otis just plain ol' likes, and have some great discussion including exciting news on an official Raymond Scott remix project we're collaborating on!  Otis is a restless guy, not just musically but geographically: he's lived in Seattle, San Francisco, Reno, Toronto, Montreal, and will probably move soon to a city near you.

Tune in this Thursday (2012.05.03) on The Sound Of Plaid!  We'll be on DFM's chat page during the show.  Many chances to tune in this week, and if you can't make the times below you can hear it at The Sound Of Plaid Archives.

Mary Jo Bole

Okay, I admit it -- I, TradeMark G, dominate the playlist of The Sound Of Plaid.  Each week I enjoy stroking my music junkie ego and filling our radio show's odd themes with my own male-centric picks.  Don't like it?  Make your own show!

That's what's happening this week, more or less.  Steppin' up for the ladies is DJ Genie Can Do (aka artist and escaped professor Mary Jo Bole) who proudly presents The Scary Mary Kay Show!  We've been anxiously anticipating this show for a while, and this week it finally comes to The Sound Of Plaid.  Far from just a show about the cosmetics mogul, the Scary Mary Kay Show will focus on music by women... and whatever else Mary Jo comes up with, which is often very, very random.  And awesome.

Tune in this Thursday (2012.04.26) on The Sound Of Plaid!  We'll be on DFM's chat page during the show.  Many chances to tune in this week, and if you can't make the times below you can hear it at The Sound Of Plaid Archives.
