Concert and Performance Dates
ECC at California Academy of Sciences
Tuesday, 19 May 2009 10:38
This Thursday the ECC appears as a guest of Youth Radio and BoingBoing for NightLife, the weekly Thursday grown-up night (i.e. the bar is open) at the California Academy of Sciences. We'll demonstrate and discuss the VidiMasher 3000 and will be joined by Tom Zimmerman, who will show of his own toys as well. This is a rare Bay Area opportunity to look under the hood of our newest invention! Plus if you haven't seen the new California Academy of Sciences building in Golden Gate Park (we haven't) it's a great opportunity to do that. While drinking.
Also featuring the Red Bull 45s event, followed by a DJ set by hip-hop pioneer Jazzy Jay.

WHEN: This Thursday, May 21 2009 / Event: 6p - 10p / ECC: 7p
WHERE: California Academy of Sciences / Golden Gate Park / 55 Music Concourse Drive

Amsterdam benefit for DFM at OCCII
Tuesday, 05 May 2009 12:17
Coming up: a benefit show in Amsterdam for a very deserving radio station.
Just to be clear up front: The ECC is not performing at this show. But we have connections: the deserving radio station is DFM Radio International, the Amsterdam-based internet radio station who broadcast the recent ubRadio Salon that ECC participated in, as well as DJ Marcelle's interview with The ECC (and you should listen to archives of both).
It's not easy to keep an internet radio station on the air without lowering the experience through advertising or charging the listeners (or even the DJs!), which some other stations do. Benefits like these are often the only source of income a station has. Thank you!

ECC @ Cafe Racer Ride-In, Long Beach
Sunday, 05 April 2009 07:05
As promised, we're coming back LA: The Evolution Control Committee performs at Alex's Bar for the Cafe Racer Ride-In (thanks Ed!). Fresh from Europe (stylistically, if not aromatically) we'll set up the Wheel Of Mashup featuring the Vidimasher 3000 for all your SoCal pleasure! It's an early show -- door at 5, first band at 6 -- just right for a Sunday night. Still working on more shows for the weekend -- anyone? Little help?

Los Angeles and beyond
Thursday, 05 March 2009 23:53
Coming soon... to a city near you?
With shows approaching in Eindhoven (Netherlands), London, Amsterdam, Seattle, Cleveland, and more you can see why we've been telling each other that 2009 is the year of The ECC. But we're getting ahead of ourselves -- let's just stick to this weekend: Hello, Los Angeles.
The Bootie mashup club night has earned quite a bit of well-deserved success, bursting their Bay Area britches and franchising the night to New York, Paris, Munich, Beijing, Australia, and more. But their first post-SF city is still one of their biggest: Bootie Los Angeles. The ECC had a great show there two years ago at the old Safari Sam's space, but with our hot new Vidimasher 3000 and an updated Wheel of Mashup it was high time to visit again. Early birds get in cheap AND get a free CD. So come visit us at the Echoplex, spin the wheel, and mash your ass off!
WHAT: Bootie LA with The ECC, DJ Paul V, DJ Shyboy, and more
WHEN: This Saturday, March 7th 2009, 9p-2a (ECC @ 11p)
WHERE: Echoplex, 1154 Glendale Blvd. (Back Entrance)
HOW MUCH: $5 before 10p / $10 after
Evolutionarily,
- The ECC
